Tasting Schedule

Cranberry Liquors holds in-store tastings throughout the year.  This schedule is written on an annual basis due the to the way the license is issued.  For more information on any given tasting please feel free to contact us.

Friday tastings will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Saturday tastings will be held from 12 noon until 5 p.m.

Conde Villar VinhoVerde , NV – Delve into the unique!  A tingling and very interesting sipper that has a lot of structure wrapped around the dried lemon, ginger and soft golden pear flavors.  Just go for it!

Les Fosses d’Hareng Vouvray 2009 – Our warm weather leads to thoughts of a picnic!  What to serve with a Maryland feast of crab cakes and fried chicken?  A lovely Vourvray!  This fine expression of the Chenin Blanc grape shows bright granny smith apples, quince and pears.  Don’t forget the potato salad!

Dancing Coyote Gewurztraminer 2010 – Don’t be shy, take a big sniff, you’ll be glad you did!  Glorious and dancing multi-floral rose, honeysuckle, apricots, white peaches, crunchy apples and some spice to make it nice!  Vibrant with a touch of sweet to pair with spicy cuisines.

Conde Villar Red 2010 – More of the wild and crazy!  This brother to the Vinho Verde is just as interesting.  Cherries and beets dominate the nose; in the mouth a sprinkle of white pepper and a “craisin” taste, you know dried cranberries and raisins!  Nice tannins too!

 Lagar de Robla Mencia 2008 – Bodacious amounts of plums and blackberry jam kickin’ and screamin’ (in a good way!) with blueberries and black plums.  So fruity, you will want to spread it on toast, but those big tannins will cry for grilled beast.

Smith-Madrone Napa Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 – Lush and complex showing black cherries, berries and black currants, sturdy spices and a touch of vanilla.  A powerful Cabernet from the Spring Mountain District; now that is wonderful real estate!
